When you have a white couch, these are a must…
I had been looking for white jeans forever and with no success I had filed them away under, “not gonna happen,” that is, until this pair from Gap serendipitously landed on my doorstep (the result of an accidental online order whereby I ordered every pair of jeans in my virtual cart–but I’m glad I did!) Previously I had always hated the inhernt visible pockets, and just the fact that they are so, “Bam! Here we are! White jeans!” They are out there in a way my usual black skinnies are not.
As a matter of fact, I’ll see your bathing suit shopping and raise you shopping for white jeans–and I’m not even a very self-conscious person when it comes to body image stuff. I mean, I have what I have, and what I have just didn’t work in white jeans…until this pair with a truncated leg (I’m short) and invisible pockets hugged my waist at just the right spot, pulling me over to the (not so) dark side.
The elusive white jeans acquired, I am now basking in the elation that comes along with nailing down a piece for my wardrobe that I know will extend it by a mile, starting with this winter white(ish) ensemble. I think I might like white jeans more in winter than in summer, actually, but I guess that remains to be seen. In the meantime, you can find me wearing my new jeans and lounging on my white couch footloose and fancy-free.
