The perfect shoe for waiting in limbo
The leaves fall, the wind blows, and the farm country slowly changes from the summer cottons into its winter wools.” – Henry Beston
Toronto might not be farm country, exactly, but Beston’s quote sums up what’s happening outside. People are battening the hatches so to speak–more than willing to take advantage of whatever other surprises Mother Nature has up her sleeve (it’s December 3 afterall, and we’ve yet to have anything more than a light dusting of snow), but aware that it’s coming, that winter of ours. Turns out my Bianca lace-ups from Sanuk are the perfect shoes for waiting in limbo. I’ve been wearing the grey suede oxfords everywhere because I find them gorgeous in their simplicity and because these shoes are comfort personified. So winter, you can wait because my feet have never felt so good.
