Geox and the truest oxymoron
So I was recently invited to check out the new Geox pop-up shop at Sherway Gardens. In addition to the regular shoe store, the mall has a temporary store featuring the breathable brand’s outerwear, which hasn’t been as widely available in Canada–at least not with a large selection all in one place–until now. The coats, like the shoes, feature a breathable membrane in the shoulder panel, with the purpose of allowing moisture to escape. I would normally be skeptical of the technology if I didn’t already own one. An all-season “sweat-er” (as in perspire-er–not the garment), I get just as “dewy” trucking around the city in subzero temps as I do in 80% humidity, so their winter coats are perfect for me.
A chic, European aesthetic is also inherent in the Italian company’s outerwear designs, meaning that even their puffer coats are stylish. Case in point: the A-line silhouette of the super cute puffer (until now, the truest oxymoron), I’m wearing below. I’m so smitten that I might have to add another to my wardrobe before it gets too cold! Visit the temporary pop-up Geox shop at Sherway Gardens between now and January to try one for yourself!
