I don’t know about you but as a bonafide jeans + t-shirt kind of girl, I like any excuse to dress up a little–even if it’s as slight as swapping my go-to denim for a fitted pencil skirt. This sort of subtle switch is actually what my “smart casual” wardrobe is based upon. I like unfussy dressed-up looks. Case in point, the top of this outfit is something I would wear–with jeans–on an average day but adding a pregnancy-friendly stretchy pencil skirt (ahem, midi skirt, that is just pulled up over my gigantic belly), dresses it up while keeping it casual at the same time–perfect for a low key Easter dinner at my aunt and uncle’s house. Wearing a leather jacket over it also helps to make the whole look less precious. I bought these spiky turquoise chandelier earrings on clearance last week and think that I’ve officially moved from necklaces to big earrings as my accessory of choice these days. It feels like 2001 all over again.
