Muted winter pastels
If you read yesterday’s post, you know that I’m tired–or at least my wardrobe is–of this frigid weather. One anecdote I’ve found that, granted, is no Palm Springs getaway but it’ll have to do, is to incorporate some of my favourite spring/summer pieces into my look in a way that’s realistic for right now. This oversize, dusty blue clutch for instance, is a springtime staple as these booties will be. Oops, I said I incorporated these spring pieces into my look in a way that’s realistic for now but I’ll leave you to guess whether I actually wore these booties across the frozen tundra or if I changed into my Cougars immediately upon hearing the shutter go off. I kept the rest of my look light with a dusty blue quilted sweatshirt and ripped jeans, worn under my duster-length camel coat. Even though it’s warm enough for winter, the muted pastel palette had me stepping (through the slush and snow), a little lighter that day!
