Bundled up but still dressed up

I wore this look to step out with Mr. Hunter during last weekend’s snow. I love these thigh-high boots for winter because they provide total coverage and are super warm as a result–really! (Whenever I say something like that my sister is quick to remind me of the “winter shoes” I purchased a few years back–a pair of stiletto gladiator sandals that I only called winter shoes because I was explaining to her that I was going to wear them with black matte tights in the winter–and I’ve never lived it down). Anyway I wore the boots with a faux leather mini, a ribbed sweater, a chunky knit scarf, and a leather jacket. I have loved pairing my dressier pants and skirts with a half-tucked textured knit this winter for a variety of more laid back outfits.
