Weekend-ing

So this weekend saw the marriage of a dear friend to a lovely woman and I couldn’t be happier for them. But after Saturday’s festivities, I just couldn’t handle anything more than jeans on Sunday and my favorite pair of ripped skinnies plus my Deal of the Century sweater with gold chevrons (was originally $89 and I scored it for just $9!), and a semblance of the previous night’s side swept waves, did the trick for the casual day of shopping ahead. I wore the cozy ensemble with my *vintage* grey Nine West booties to kick it up a bit and I was ready to hit the “Black Friday weekend” sale at Best Buy. It was a long, arduous afternoon (way too long for a two year old), and by the time we left, my feet hurt all over again after semi-recovering from even less practical footwear the night before, I was dehydrated, hungry, and I had a fluorescent light-induced headache–but did I save $30 off the top of my new (much needed!), iPad? Yes. It was so not worth it but anyway…this Is what I wore:

I hadn’t seen one of my girlfriends in a while and she surprised me on the weekend with this Kate Spade “the creme de la creme” bangle and charm as a late birthday gift. I love it!
