Casual daze

So I had such a crazy weekend full of bridal shower prep (and execution), in honour of my little sis, capped off with a super early rise on Sunday morning to wait in line at the Niagara Falls Target store with the hope of getting my hands on the bag I coveted from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collab. Long story short, my mom, my sister and I were first in what ended up being a line of about 12 people. Did I break into a run when they opened the doors? Yes. But did I get the bag I wanted? Yes! They were replenishing the supply when I left actually–although most of the bags in black were gone–and owing to the “what’s going on?” “why is everyone trying to get those bags?” comments I could hear from passersby as I ravaged the display area, Niagara might be a safe bet for anyone who still wants one!

My mama and I shot by my sister when there were only four of us in line. Excuse my “look”. I had woken up at six a.m.!

After the #limsanity, we had to rush home to get ready for our sister’s bridal shower. Here are a few of the details from the day:

So all of that to say that I’m in casual mode for the next couple of days while I get some writing deadlines out of the way. Here is what I wore on a little break to take Viggo down to see the boats at Harbourfront (one of his all-time favourite passtimes). I love this new sweater from Tristan but under my military jacket you can’t see any of the details that make it so special. Stay tuned to the blog for that! I wore it with jeans and my Chucks and sealed the deal with a bright, red lip and new houndstooth sunnies in an attempt to dress the whole look up a bit!
